The Kia Sorento has picked up the title for the best SUV from Total 4×4 for the second year in a row, beating off stiff competition from other manufacturers in the sector.
Kia’s latest SUV was launched in the UK in February 2010 and has become a popular choice for many drivers.
The 4×4 model remains the flagship vehicle for the company’s range and is available in two or four-wheel-drive editions.
Michael Cole, managing director of Kia Motors UK, said: “From the day of its launch we knew that the latest Sorento continued the car’s impressive record of delivering excellent go-anywhere ability coupled with on-road sophistication at a great value price.”
He added that the vehicle has long been a favourite in the Kia range for a variety of customers, including those who want to tow trucks and trailers.
Autocar recently announced its list of long-term test car awards and named the best long distance touring vehicle as the Range Rover TDV8.
